Are you looking in the right place on Ancestry???!! You need this bit: England and Wales BMD Index (Beta) - which you access at the bottom of the main search page. I wondered if you were looking at: England & Wales, FreeBMD Index by mistake?? Merry

I think i need to explain again. I never found it on the Beta Page for Death I just added the name in the search box and up it came with a list of Deaths just like the 1984-2002 i just dont understand . Diane.

Diana, I think you must have warped to an alternative dimension where Ancestry have fully indexed everything!!! Have you a time machine in your garage......?????? Not what I would give for one of those! Merry

Jess, and all that tried to help me Thank for that But that's not where i found it. This is now getting wired. I have been looking for this aunt for ages all i know of her was her name date of birth and place of birth. (Have the birth certificate to prove it) I looked over the years using 1837 on line cost me a penny or two i can tell you, any way never found her marriage i looked for death's up to a point of 10 years no luck. About two weeks or so ago as normal i was clicking away with all my different names and there she was, on a page of Deaths along with others just like the list you see when clicking 1984-2002 She had died in Thanet Kent aged 65 years, i then crossed referenced this with both the BDM BETA on Ancestry plus 1837 on line, i ordered the death certificate and bobs your uncle i received it on Saturday morning. The thing is i had no idea she would be in Kent as she was born in Cambridge. I just can't explain what has happened i really can't This may sound strange but really it's true, honest Diane

Penny Thank you for your help but it was not there that i found it. At the time of finding it i had no idea what year or what place to look. As i siad on my posing above it came up on a whole list of people's death's and i sifted through and there she was. Diane

Hi On Ancestry BETA is the only place for a 1960's death. Only other reason I can think is that Ancestry were trying out something new for the future & you were lucky enough to search at that moment! Were you looking for any specific information on this death or just frustrated that you couldn't find it again? Penny

Diane

Diane Report 22 Feb 2006 12:54

Penny, just frustrated not to find it again, plus i wonted to look for someone eles. If it was the case of Ancestry trying a new thing, how lucky was i, as i now have Death Certificate and about to write off for her will. Regards Diane.
