finding divorce

is there any way of finding out when somebody was divorced

Type divorce into the search box at the top of the message board. There;s a National Archives research leaflet - basically if the divorce occurred before 1858 or between 1858 and some time in the 1900s you can find it at Kew; after that its an office in Central London. nell

Carole, you are not allowed access to the divorce records. You have to contact the Principal Registry of the Family Division. They will conduct a paid search for you and if they locate the document you are after, you can purchase a copy. 'phone no: 020 7947 6971 Good luck Teresa
