if someone wouldnt mind helping a little...looking for a serena bowcock born 1863...found her on 1871 census living at home 13 kiln lane, leek staffordshire but cant locate her again. have checked marriages and deaths still no luck..any ideas or help?

Heather that the family...father is William...think the other family is grand parents Gill.

I have had a look for you on ancestry and family search, using 'fuzzy' names to see if it was spelt bizarrely on another entry - cant understand where she has disappeared too, cant even find the entry for her birth. Right, this wont defeat me - off for another look! :-)

1881 census There is a Sarah Bowcock aged 19, a lodger living at 40 Chorley Street, Leek & Lowe, Staffs. A silk winder. RG11/2740 Folio 10 Page 13 Could this be her?

Well most of the family are at same address for 1881 but not her.

Yes, thats them 1881 and she isnt with them then or te 1891. Actually, I just decided it was worth spending a few of my units on familyrellies to find this girl as its was annoying me - there was nothing there at all for her from 1866-1920 no death and no marriage. I think we must have a different name being used here??

Complete long shot, but there is a selina bowcock on the 1881 living with grandfather James Bowcock 1812.

forgot to mention year of year was as 1869 - a little out, but who knows. . .

Have even tried just typing her date of birth and area in the censuses but no possable names come up unless im thick

Well, Ive got five pages of Bowcocks getting married in Staffordshire between 1866-1920 if you want them, may as well have them, used familyrelllies units, so would be nice someone got benefit from them. BUT no Serena. I saw a Selina but that was a marriage in 1910, so not likely for a first time marriage.

Karen dont think thats her as serena grandfather was william aswell as father...heather that would be great...thanks to all for trying will have to put her down as lost in Leek
