Unlikely to find the actual inquest report Im afraid. I am a similar situation 1912. A very kind GR member managed to find a newspaper report for me at Colindale. It may be worth you trying to find which paper would have covered an inquest in that area - try the Southwark archives.

Would that be the ' South London Press' or does anyone know another one? Thanks anyway Ann

Mine was in the South London Press - for Camberwell/Peckham, so good chance it would be the same for yours.

Just contact the relevant library service. They will know where the back issues of the relevant paper are. Seems the inquest went on a bit! You might be lucky and find the coroner's papers still exist but you may need to get permission from the current coroner to see them. nell

If you post a message on the Records Office section maybe some kind soul will check out Borough Liibrary on your behalf. After all that's what the section's for, though it seems to be used mostly for general messages.

You don't have to go there - e-mail them with the query and they can probably send you a photocopy, though postage to Switzerland will cost a bit more than over here. nell

I regularly email this archives! Stephen Humphrey is the archivist and has been absolutely great to me - mind you it helps that a number of my family were featured in his last book on the area. He recently very kindly sent me a copy of my nans fire officers certificate (WW2). Ive mailed you the address I always use. They are only there part time, so check for the opening hours first if you phone.
