Thank you everyone with a bit of time to write things out I've got it cracked well & truly. Alice Gale - daughter of Elijah & Maria must be the mother (they at the time were living with Thomas & Rebecca Sandercock). Ann M Gale the wife of Elijah's brother Shadrack must be the aunt noted on the death cert. Thank you really appreciate your help to pull everything together. Clare x |

she would of been 17 but what about the aunt as I can't fit her either....had discussed with a direct blood reli of Rachel her sister & she doesn't know either! |

They are but do not fit been talking to one of their direct line ancestors...Alice wouldn't of been old enough surely? Also the aunt A.M Gale doesn't fit!! |

I have a young child dying at 15 months Matilda Sophia Sandercock Gale born 22 September 1889 to Alice Gale (domestic servant) father unknown. Cert got. Matilda died 3 December 1890, mothe rlisted on death cert as Alice Gale (cook domestic). Death registered by A.M Gale aunt to deceased. Mother Alice is unknown she has not before appeared on my tree, aunt is again unknown. I'm 99.9% positive this girl is one of my relli's because of the surname. My ggg grandmother remarried after my ggg grandfather married (he was a Gale) her new husband was a Sandercock. The surname thus I believe pretty much shows she is one of mine.... So can anyone help me trace Alice Gale or A.M Gale as I can't find someone of the right age in the right area on the census.... |
