I wondered if anyone can help me with my puzzle? My grandfather was HARRY BULL,who was married in1921 aged 27. According to the marriage cert his father was HENRY ROGER BULL, and one of the witnesses was ARTHUR ROGER BULL.. I've found who i'm sure is the right family on 1901 and 1891 cencus, i've got birth certificates for both ARTHUR ROGER BULL and my grandfather - father HENRY (no Roger) Have marriage cert for HENRY, states father is ZACHARIAH BULL (dec) This is where i get a bit lost. According to cencus and marriage cert, Henry would have born about 1855 in Paulton Somerset.. I've found IGI record of birth for a Zachariah Bull 1818 also in Paulton , parents Silas and Ann. I have them on 1841 cencus, with, i think Zachariah's wife Mary. (have marriage cert for them) I sent for a birth certificate for a Henry Bull born in Clutton Somerset in1852 (a bit earlier than i thought) says mother MARY BULL - but no father!! The other thing is this Zachariah died in 1849! I tell you this is going to drive me to drink! Apart from being on the 1901 1891 with family and 1881as a boarder , i can't find any record. So i don't know if i'm following the completly wrong trail! I thought maybe a fresh brain might help! Or i'll just have make a trip to Somerset. Thank you. :) |
