I've got it Merry :( George 'Labourer' Not on IGI ( I know it's not complete ) census is a no no before they got married. I know it's possible that there are mistakes/mistranscriptons (fibs) etc So I guess at the moment I'm trying to go for a process of elimenation.

Apologies I have this silly habit of typing 1885 instead of 1855 *dopey typist* I'll amend original message You wouldn't think I had an ancient CSE in typing *rolleyes* ( I'll amend the original record) Hence I tried to order the 1885 one off the Gro.... Born 1855 Wolverhampton Married to Caroline Fensom ( In Bedford 1883) - Have cert and census after that. 1901 census age 47 so approx 1854 birth 1891 Census age 36 so approx 1854 birth 1883 Marriage cert aged 30 so approx 1853 birth I'm wondering if that Barton Under Needwood ( Birth Reg might be worth a go? I can't find anything mentioning a parish that I could narrow down and wonder if he said Wolverhampton being a large place that someone else would know when filling out forms? Cheers Anne! Why do I get the feeling he's sticking out his tounge at me and waggling his fingers in his ears! lol. Females in my tree are far easier to find! They just keep saying *cooee over here* Thank you all! Please keep any other ideas coming if you have any

Great Grandpa David Dean *reckoned* he was born in Wolverhampton Staffordshire. Marriage 1883 Census 1891 Census 1901 He is missing before then....... I've searched and gone page by page through the Births on Ancestory ( with some help from Mr Grubb on GR), and found a David right year 1855 but born in Barton. 8c 399 on the Records Board someone mentioned ages ago, a Barton Under Needwood, Staffordshire. Now would these be the same Barton? Is it in or near Wolverhampton? Just wondering if he would have put a big near town on his marriage and census records, considering he had moved away to Bedfordshire? Or am I completely barking up the wrong tree? I've not found anything else either side Thankyou ! Sharon
