I had another look after reading Yvonne's and I think you are right, it is not a W because the enumerator put Wid on all the pages, and I checked most of them, for widow/er. I wonder if the enumerator just didn't know, either because Jeremiah wouldn't tell him or someone else who gave the information didn't know? I didn't find any other YY's on all the pages of the 72 I checked.
