Paul i have searched through 1881 census on the 1891 census there oldest child was a john b 1877 i think he may of been a borthwick and there also a hugh b 1878

You need to work out the likely years and either trawl the images on the bmd index - still free on ancestry - or buy some units on familyrelatives.org where you can do a name search/area search Is GGF the oldest child?

Hi I have really came up against a brick wall I have just getting my gr grandfather birth certificate it say's he was born 1887 parents names James Kennedy, mother's name Elizabeth Kennedy, late Borthwick formerly Moor, the thing is i cant find any of the marriages for james or elizabeth tried all way's of spelling surnames but still nothing.They were living Gateshead County Durham, is there anything else i can do searched every way i can think of Thank's Ann
