DOB 1913 but can not locate

My Grandmother was born on 23rd June 1913. Her name was Catherine Crooke but I can not locate her in any records. Any ideas where else I should be looking?? |

Yes that was her maiden name and she was born in Salford as far as I am aware. She later became Sheridan and died 30th Aug 1981 thats all I know I am afraid |

As Catherine died after 1969, her death certificate should give her date and place of birth (ie. town ). This is only ever as good as the informant's knowledge but sometimes gives a good clue re. where to search for a birth record. Gwyn |

as she was born at end of June she would be in the next 1/4 july-sept as you have 6 weeks to register Jeanette |
