Reg is not strictly right, i have located on many occasions a family in the electrol roll and then looked 21 years prior in the BMD index, and discovered this was there child. what i would do is locate the ladies, husband in a street directory, ie Kellys etc, then with the adddress, look at the electrol roll every 5 years onwards, noting any new additions to the household. this method has offten confirmed children from the 1901-1911 period where no mothers maiden name was included on the index |

As Reg said you will have to trawl the births - at least you know the mother's maiden name and it is not to common so you should have a chance of finding the children. Good hunting Irene |

No, unfortunately.......... Main libraries hold Electoral Rolls, which, by definition, are registers of people entitled to vote. That excludes all under-21's. And they are searchable by address............ To find other offspring, you will have to trawl the BMD records........at least nowadays, thanks to Ancestry, they are free. Reg |

I would like to find some info on my grandads sister. Her name was Alice Lolita Waldren born 1906 in Birmingham and she married a Charles Bennett in 1926 and had a son called Charles in 1928. Could i get any info from the library to let me know where they lived and if they had anymore children. Thanks Debbie |
