And here's me, with one line going back to c.1580 because there's about twelve people on here researching it and two other lines (my Hurst line and my mum's family, the Siggs) that I can just about get back to 1816 and 1798 respectively. (That 1798 was only because a kind contact on here who is related told me that my great-great-great-great grandfather was living in the same parish as his daughter in law and it turned out the Siggs had been misinterpreted as Liggs - funny shaped 'S'). Truly amazing, isn't it?

Well this is a good one: http://www.geocities*com/7life/gen.html - this poor demented chap has done his family tree right back to Adam & Eve, taking on board the Jewish, Irish & Scottish kings along the way! It's good for a laugh, but I get the impression that this chap actually thinks he's right... he does put in the following disclaimer though: ''While it has been documented and authenticated to a considerable extent in striving for absolute accuracy, a margin of error cannot be ruled out'' No? surely not??

They thought they were actually related to the Gods, Laura. I also remember more recently, someone convinced he was related to Christ AND Arthur of Camelot. Being nosy, but I'd love a peek at their tree!

Rebekah If you have a wander through Ancestry World Trees, or LDS One World trees, you will find people related to Greek Mythical Gods, Mickey Mouse, Gengis Khan and Adam and Eve. OC

How long ago was it? Did they reckon they were related to the gods (?!) or did they just have relatives with those classical greek names??? A friend's cousin and his wife have just called their son Osyris after the Egyptian god Osiris.... Laura x
