The birthplaces of the couple in 1851 are identical to those you give for 1861............. The children with them in 1851 could have died..............the ones you list for 1861 wouldn't have been born in 1851. Where they lived in 1844 is no indication of where they might be in subsequent years.......... Reg

So this is your 1861? Living in Lindridge same as 1851 family and same birth places as 1851 family?? They might have married in Mitton as this was where Eliza lived with her parents but that doesn't mean they stayed there. 1861. Hi Tony, It's ok, I don't think you've confused us. I think the 1851 family are the family your looking for. Fiona.

I think the 1851 family which we found is the right one. If you compare the 1851 and 1861 censuses there is William and Sarah Tolley living next door but one to them on BOTH censuses - which would lead me to think that they were living in the same house on both censuses.

Do you have the marriage certificate for the parents? - if so what was Henry´s occupation at the time of his marriage.

Henrys occupation at the time of marraige was a labourer

- his occupation in the 1851 census I found was Ag.Lab - and then by 1861 he was a grocer. I still think the 1851 is right!
