You can order in any 1901 or 1911 NI census to your local Mormon Family History Centre. The films were £2.70 for a month. Parts of Belfast are on-line. As Mhairi said it helps if you know the townland within the parish or street in a large town. PRONI have the films but its not name index and it would take weeks to go through the whole of NI film by film. |

Isn't this also available in Dublin. Might be worth checking that angle out? Denis |

I believe that some LDS centres have the census records for Ireland but they are not indexed so you have to know the street or at least the area that they where in at the time. If they dont already have them then i they can request them and each roll/fiche costs about £4, again i'm not really sure on prices and things having never used the service myself. In a year or two the Irish census i supposed to be put online, so it'll save having to travell about trying to find places that have the records. Hope this helps in some way Mhairi |

PRONI advise that the only way to get a NI 1901 census lookup is to visit their offices or employ an expensive commercial agent to do the work for you. Has anyone found a cheaper way of doing it? Steve. |
