Hi Janie, You could try contacting Flintshire County Council, Housing and Community Services, Cemeteries Section, County Offices, Flint, Flintshire. CH6 5BD. Tel: 01352 703360 and give the date of death and see if they can check their records for a buriel. If they've got it they may give you the plot number, or an alternative cemetary. In the past I have contacted cemetaries and given the date of death and some have been very helpfull and given me date of buriel and plot number etc. It might be worth a try. Lou

Hi Jo, we don't think she was buried with anyone, not that we know of anyway. My family aren't from that area, we are from the East Midlands but my gran and grandad lived in Chester due to their jobs but later moved back here. It would be great if you could look, if it's not any trouble. She was a twin and my Uncle survived and would like to visit her. He visited when he was younger which is where the 'dodgy' info is coming from (old mind I'm afraid, lol!). Thanks so much, you're very kind! Janie xx

Hi Janie Just checked the BMD on ancestry, her death was registered in the Sept qtr of 1942 in Chester ref 8a 361. If you wish I can visit the cemetary at the weekend and take a look for you. Do you know if she was buried with anyone else? Jo xx

Of course, that makes sense! Sorry I am chatting with my cousin on msn and she has been told the info by her Dad, me thinks 'chinese whispers' is setting in!!! lol! Anyway, its Patricia Wain, she was born 26/6/1942 and died a few days or weeks later. Is there anything else you need to know?

Hi, do you think it's Connah's Quay in Flintshire / Wales. Perhaps they were born in Chester but died in Connah's Quay. Just a thought. Lou

Hi Em, They were born at the old royal infirmery in 1942. And they think she was buried in something like Conner Key or something Key in Chester. Any ideas? Janie x

Hi Janie, I live near Chester.. are you able to tell me which Hospital, as there are two main ones that are now demolished. The chester royal infirmary, which used to be in the city centre, and also the city hospital which was slighty out of the centre bordering on vicars cross. the city hospital in latter years was used as a geriatric hospital, i think it closed early 1980's. the royal infirmary was first used as a general hosp, then accident and emergancey, also gyne probs..both hospitals opened in the 1800's i think. Of course, chester now has countess of chester hospital ( in Upton) this opened early 80's on the site where the psychitric hospital still stands, this used to be called Deva hosptital, and again opened in the 1800's. The tow hospitals are a couple or so miles away, but with 18 graveyards around the city centre it would be easier if we could pin point which hospital. the main cemetary in chester is at Blacon.. but i think this opened 20th century, before that it would have been a church graveyard, If you have any more info please contact me and i will help all i can . Try a google search or contact the hospital or the local archives or the local council.
