I've checked the BVRI and there are no chidren born to those parents. No Morris at all in Wombridge. The closest are 2 boys born Madely, Shropshire, Thomas 1829 and John 1833 but parents are William & Mary. Margaret |

Hi Lindy, Found some stuff for you on the IGI through LDS website. 1) William Morris marries Rebecca Hayward 16/12/1827 in Wellington,Shropshire. This fits nicely with the first childs birth in 1829. 2) also through LDS website searching using fathers full name and mothers christian name in the county of Shropshire....... Bapt Thomas 21/12/1829 Wombridge Bapt Joseph 22/05/1831 Wombridge Bapt John 14/07/1833 Wombridge Bapt Jane 19/06/1836 Wombridge 3) Census 1841 Wm Morris 35yrs Ironstone miner born Shropshire Rebekah Morris 42yrs born Shropshire Thomas Morris 12yrs born Shropshire John Morris 8yrs born Shropshire no sign of Joseph who would have been 10yrs and Jane who would have been 5yrs Census 1851 William Morris 46yrs Coal miner b Wombridge Rebecca Morris 53yrs b Wombridge Thomas Morris 22yrs b Wombridge Forgeman Pudler John Morris 17yrs b Wombridge Forgeman again no sign of joseph or Jane I have to go now but will check the other census for you and also death records. Hope this helps :-) |
