Betty - can you look at outbox and see if an old message is 'hanging' there? ive had that happen before - if you send it to a duff addy it sort of sticks in the outbox and until you delete it it stops other mail being sent. If there is a message there, just delete it and then try to send the new message.

Hi again Rose, I sent an e-mail twice to the same address, this was the wrong e-mail addrees, I know that now but obviously they were not sent. Now everytime I go to send an e-mail this message pops up and I don't know how to get rid of it. The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by the server. The rejected e-mail address was '[email protected]/'. Subject 'URGENT!!!!!!!!!!', Account: 'pop.orange.net', Server: 'smtp.orangehome.co.uk', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '501 Bad address syntax', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 501, Error Number: 0x800CCC79 The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by the server. Hi Betty Maybe something is wrong on the computer airwaves - I have just had a similar problem.Typed a long e-mail with attachment clicked send then after a few seconds got a like message about being unsendable because of wrong address (which I knew was not the case). My computer then seemed to be frozen - I could not click on anything without getting the beep. Being a computer idiot I panicked a bit but switched it off and then rebooted, went into sent e-mails and hey presto it had been sent. Can anyone explain?? Liz

You can also get this message if you have added a number of cc addresses - if just one of those are wrong O.E. will reject the whole message.

There's an answer on a website... http://en.allexperts*com/q/Microsoft-Outlook-1541/Microsoft-Outlook-Sending-email-1.htm Basically, the email address is probably wrong.
