That could get a photo of Stokesley church and/or rectory please?............................ My Gtx3 Elizabeth Webster was in service at the recory in 1851 and died there in 1858............. She might even be buried in the churchyard but I don't know that for sure yet. Ann Glos

Stokesley is North Yorks South of Middlesborough, NW of Northallerton almost on the edge of the N yorks moors. thanks Brenda I will look at that. Ann Glos

ME!! I live about 8 miles away. The church has a web site: http://www.stokesleyparishchurch*org.uk/ The Stokesley History society are very good too. You can find them online at: http://www.historic-cleveland*co.uk If you google Stokesley you will find lots of info too. The library in Stokesley is brilliant for local family research. Marion, it hasn't arrived yet! I am off to bed now,SORRY but am really tired + hubby is moaning cos I am still on here! I will check tomorrow to see if it comes. If not I will PM you. Ann......... I will probably be checking the churchyard out soon because my hubbys relation is in a paupers grave there + he wanted to find where exactly it was. Nite Nite Ann

Marian/Ann thanks for the offers, Marian thanks for your PM. Realise now what you were offering. Had not seen this as only just come on and went to bed after putting the thread up. My Gtx 3 Grandmother & her daughter Elizabeth & Sarah Webster were both ladies maids at the ecory in 1851 for the then rector Rev Charles Cator and his wife Amelia. Elizabeth died in Stokesly in 1858 - I have sent for her death cert. I don't know where she is buried. I will go on the site for a photo of the church but would like a photo of the rectory as well if possible. Many thanks Ann Glos
