Have you check familysearch.org? it has a pretty good coverage of bedfordshire. Abraham cooper in 1901 has a address of 12 milton grove. i have the birth cert of my great grandfather who was born in 1903 11 milton grove, so i think i have the right abraham

If he is the Frederick on the 1891 census then this looks like his birth... Births Jun 1882 (>99%) Cooper Frederick Biggleswade 3b 383 Georgina.

Have you got your fredericks birth cert, that will give you his mums name and maiden name. That will help you cross reference with the census returns.

A HUGE GUESS at a marriage as in 1871 Abraham is Single but married in 1881: Marriages Dec 1872 (>99%) Cooper Abraham Biggleswade 3b 864 GOODWIN Sarah Biggleswade 3b 864 You'd need a birth cert of their children to ascertain Sarah's maiden name .

The original document looks as if it reads Elsey Hertford or Hereford a big splodge on the counties name doesn't make it clear ...... for 1901 In 1891 the origianl document reads Bedfordshire THREE Counties ..... could Elsey be in fact ARLSEY in Beds??? The 1891 image says Beds, Three Counties..bedfordshire is one of the three home counties, thats herts, beds and bucks.

Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire are next to each other. Maybe he lived/was born on the boarder which moved. (which happens often over the years). I have the same problem in Middlesex with some of mine. Sheila

i have a marriage cert for frederick cooper who married 1903 islington. it says his father was abraham cooper. I have looked on 1901 census and found abraham cooper born in eisey herefordshire. i found the same family on 1891 census but it says he was born in thrsa countie bedfordshire, i cant find abraham cooper on amy other census or his birth because i am not sure where he was born
