hi sue thank you but i have already download his service record all 56 pages,but i dont know how to find out about new zealand shipping as he was steward on the ss trewyn in 1923 i no he left australia for auckland and then i lost him joyce

Hi Joyce, I'm not an expert, but being Australian and having military records to research, I do know of the usefulness of the Australian National Archives site (do a Google). Just today they announced that all World War I service records have been made available. If you have a name, you should be able to do a search, and possibly download the service record FREE. A photocopy posted to you would cost $25AUD - not sure what that would be in Euro. Hope this helps. Sue

im trying to trace the footsteps of my dad so far i have him being in the australian army ,then at later date steward on ship namely union steamship company auckland new zealand,how do i go about finding information about my dad it was in 1923 any ideas please joyce from holland
