It depends on the size of the document you want to laminate. An A4 laminator will obviously do A4, 8.25 x 11.5 inches and anything smaller (A5, A6 etc). If your document is bigger than A4 then you will need a larger laminator, an A3 size will laminate documents obviously up to A3 in size 11.5 x 16.5 inches. Expect to pay up to £20 for an A4 laminator. Ron www*genealogyprinters*com

No I am trying to protect my original certificates, I am going to copy them and then laminate the copies as I dont know if others are like me but go back and forth to the certificates and the copies I have made get tatty and ripped so I though if I make nice new ones and then laminate them they will be much tidier, well that's the idea. And no OC you are not rude, really understand why you asked the question some might try to laminate the originals. Thanks everyone for taking the time to reply, off to Staples later to have a look at what they have. Pam xxx

Can I be rude and ask what you are going to laminate? You do know that you should never laminate original documents such as original certs, photos, etc? They should be stored in acid free wallets. However, nothing to stop you photocopying your original ones and laminating the photocopies. OC

I have an A4 laminator and sometimes do A5 on it as well. As previously stated, you just need the different sized laminating pouches. Make sure you dont pay over the top for these though, so shop around.. I get mine on ebay

No, an A3 sized one will do A4 as well, you just need to buy A4 sized laminating pouches. Sam x

I am gong to buy a laminator but I am not good at techo stuff, not able to even set the clock on the cooker, so please feel sorry for me and the stupid question I am about to ask. If I buy an A3 laminator do I have to buy an A4 laminator to do A4 things or will the A3 do all sizes ?. Please stop laughing Pam XXXX
