John could be merchants Cl ie Clerk. his father is a manufaurting chemist so he could be working with him. The other one is .incapable of following any business. Shirley |

In the 1861 England census for Francis Yates I can't make out the occupation of John Yates, son. It looks like the word 'son' has been written over what could be 'Incapable of ............ business' Also Robert, the entry above John. Is it Merchant CC? If it is, what is CC? Ditto, maybe? The census is RG9 Piece 794 Folio 98 Page 5. If anyone can help I'll be most grateful. Sandy |
