I have been waiting for my gedcom file to be imported for 33 hours, is anyone having a similar problem? I deleted my old tree thinking it might help but it has made no difference. Is there any way of cancelling the process? I have Emailed Genes but it takes days for them to respond

Usually a gedcom is imported the following day at the latest. Does your homepage show awaiting import? If it were mr I would import it again. Sue

I've had the same problem - once it says 'importing gedcom' you can't try to upload again as it tells you there is already one waiting to be imported. I can delete my tree immediately without a problem and I even tried to export it to see if that started a process, but no! It isn't a very large tree and I've uploaded it before within 10 minutes. I think the server has just got itself into a tiswas and will hopefull sort itself out - most likely before we get a response from the support team!

Trevor Sounds like Michelle maybe right another glitch in the system. The longest I have known it take is 24 hours. Good luck and hope you do not have too wait much longer. Sue

I've been waiting over 24 hours. When I was trying to import, it failed several times. They must be having problems unless others have had Imports completed in a short time. If you have , please let me know.

hi there Mine was doing this aswell, Imported tree at around 2am on sunday morning, got home from work today and it has finally imported but now I have to import an even newer version so that will probably take ages aswell! Just hang on a bit it will get there in the end, it is annoying though esp when you lose a day of researching! Alaina

Won't make you feel any better Trevor, but I can report my gedcom has finally imported and is fine now (no reply from Support as yet as I guessed) - I dare not update again any time soon though. My best suggestion is to go play on Ancestry website for a bit - it's tempting to keep looking at your status page every 20 seconds and throw yourself back into your chair in disbelief - I know (I did), but it didn't help ;-( Fingers crossed for you.
