Hi I'm currently abusing the sundaymail voucher system on above site. Can someone please tell me what the advantage of ordering birth & marriage extracts is? What do they provide that the images don't ? Also do they have to be ordered through this site, or is the information I'm getting from scotlands people enough to order from elsewhere ? Thanks T.O.R. ;o))

Hi. I can't see any point in ordering a copy as you can print out the register entry. Cheers D

David are you saying the extracts just provide exactly the same info as the images? Seems a lot to charge £10 for no new info. T.O.R. ;o((

That's about the strength of it, TOR! The only advantage is I suppose that some people like the actual cert rather than the downloaded image - personally the image is usually okay. Sometimes, though, if there's a RCE (Corrected Entry) on the image it will actually be on the bought copy. Hope you found those you're looking for - and remember, the image stays on SP until you delete it!

It used to be that some images weren't available on-line and then had to be ordered or maybe some folk don't have a printer. When i ordered some OPR they came on lovely paper with an official embossed seal......still not worth £10 tho' Helena
