My Family Trees on Ancestry is different to 'My Family ' the website. My Family IS part of The Generations Network which includes Ancestry and Rootsweb. Google either My Family or Generations Network for more info. My Family- 'By offering a variety of easy-to-maintain family websites, MyFamily(.)com gives families all over the world a unique venue for keeping in touch and strengthening relationships. ' I still don't think its a research tool. As Michael says tho' the Ancestry tree/site is! Sue

If it's My Family that you're asking about, I've had emails about it too. I believe its part of Ancestry and it looks as tho' its their version of Tribalpages ie set up your website etc. Not a research tool as such until it gets well established. Sue

When you say 'this site' do you mean GR or 'My Family'? (Is 'My Family' a site? I'm fairly new, so don't think I've heard of it.) If you mean GR, I'd wholeheartedly agree with the previous comments. As I said, I'm new to all this, and have so much help, advice, info and encouragement, and some hugely useful 'links' with people tracing the same family lines, who've filled me in with ancesters I'd never have traced on my own. And when I get stuck with computer and internet stuff, I ask and someone helps! (Not like my son, patronising so-and-so!) Hope this helps your decision. Bx

I thought that this site was already part of Ancestry but must be mistaken. Do others think this is a useful site to dabble with? There comes a point when one has so many sites to view that you never get any work done. Margaret N
