Dawn try and get hold of a copy of Was your grandfather a Railwayman? It is a directory of railway archive sources for family historians published by the Federation of Family History Societies. Author Tom Richards. I ordered it thru the FFHS website. Some of the employee records have a 75 year closure rule. Also check out A2A website (Think it stands for access to archives). T.O.R. ;o)) |

Try googling 'railway employees'+archives and you will get lots of sites, including the National Archives. Good luck! |

The National Railway Museum's website suggests that there may well be quite a few places to look for staff records. Try this page as a starting point: www.nrm.org.uk/research/othersources.asp |
