thanks sheila i did try to find james birth but there were to many of them and run out of credits joyce

Just had a quick look on Scotlands people for deaths between 1855 and 1860 none to fit the people you are looking for, possibly they died before 1855 Sheila

i know they were.nt alive in 1873 as there on there sons death cert as both bing dead,so mybe it was after 1855 will see what i can find,and thank you joyce

Scotlands People site has death records, but only if the death occured after 1855 Sheila

Have you tried looking on the death entries for these people, as they give the parents names if the death was registered in Scotland Sheila

Joyce I am sorry to say that parish records for marriages dont give parents names, I have the same problem as you I have found the marriage I need in 1780 but there are too many choices for births. Georgina.

i have the proclamations of the marriage of my g.g.grandparents but it dosnt give the age or the parents of either couple how can i find out this information james morgan from alloa married katherine murray clackmann 1790 scotland,any help no matter how small thank you joyce from holland
