Sorry for appearing thick but I can't get my head around this one. I have a woman whose father was a british subject and served in the forces. She was born in Singapore (1950's) If she goes on tomarried a foreign national would the marriage be on the overseas indexes. Also would any subsequent children be in the births overseas? I'll be offline 'til 6 ish so will reply then. Thank you for your help.

Do you mean that the Singapore-born person married and had children abroad? If she married and had the children in UK, the events would be recorded in the normal British records, regardless of her place of birth. Gwyn

Might find it on findmypast overseas marriages.

The marriage would be on findmypast, unless the woman relinquished her British nationality, and married overseas. Any children of the union would be registered in the country of birth as they would normally take the father's nationality. If, however, they had dual nationality, you may find the births on findmypast Reg
