The partial index is exactly what it says - only partial - only goes up to about 1915/1920 at the moment and even then not complete. You can however just put in a name and search and it will bring up any records that have been transcribed for that name. The complete index is obviously better but takes longer to search if you are not sure of what date you are looking for, so in this case it's always best to look at the partial index first. Kath. x

Hi there Can anyone help locate John Masterman for me please. He is on the 1841 census with his parents John and Margaret and his siblings Mary, Thomas and Margaret and he is aged 2. They are living in Lime Street, Newcastle upon Tyne. In 1851 John and Margaret are in the workhouse with their son born in 1843, Henry. (Mistranscribed as Marterman). Trouble is I can't find what happened to little John ! He should be aged approx 12 in 1851 and I can't find a death for him either. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Marie xx
