Hi, I own an investment property in Roseville, Sydney, and yesterday I was checking it for new tennants. I was in the basement where there is a lot of old furniture. I opened a drawer and found the last will and testament of an Ada May Pointer. It is dated 3rd Jan 1967. If any one has this person in their tree, I could foward this to you. In it she names Sydney Ross Potter ( same address ) as executor. Regards Jackie

Hi What an interesting find !! Has the family been searching for it all these years, I wonder ?? I found this notice in the Ryerson Index to Death Notices: POTTER Sydney Rosse died 12FEB2003 82y late of St Ives Sydney Morning Herald 15FEB2003 and he was married - 18504/1945 POTTER SYDNEY ROSSE CAMPBELL EDNA CONSTANCE SYDNEY And this is Ada's death index entry: 11592/1967 POINTER ADA MAY 96 YEARS DIED GREENWICH ST LEONARDS and her birth 3238/1870 POINTER ADA MAY JAMES MARY NEWTOWN Interesting, even if you don't have the wish to track them down yourself. You could put a message in the Daily Telegraph In Search Of.. column, or one of the rootsweb mailing lists - genanz or nsw-sydney would be best (I subb to both, i would be happy to do it for you) Di

Hi Di, Thanks for that info. Its them alright. Could you please put a message on that board you mentioned. I never thought of putting an add in the paper...would anyone see it tho? I know I never look at those sort of things, maybe I should! LOL! Where abouts are you in Sydney? Jackie

Hi Jackie I am at Rydalmere. I will post a message on the Sydney list for you. I don't know how successful the newspaper columns are, but lots of people use them, I am not sure if you can search them on the website. Will let you know if I get any response Regards Diane
