I have looked at the 1841 for Mary Anne Webster baptized 28.8.1825 daughter of William and Elizabeth WEBSTER Highgate Middlesex, and her brother George WEBSTER baptized 8.4.1827 and a sister Sarah WEBSTER baptized 11.5.1828.................... William died in approx 1832,......... in the 1841 Elizabeth WEBSTER is a lady's maid with the Freemantles in London, the youngest child, Anne WEBSTER baptized 1830 is a servant in the home of the Chinoweth family................... By 1851 Anne is with her Aunt Harriet TRODD in Botley Hampshire (William WEBSTER was born and his family lived in Froyle Hants)..... Elizabeth and Sarah WEBSTER are in service with the rev Charles Cator in Stokesly Yorkshire where she died in 1858................... Somebody checked burial records for Middlesex for me and the children don't appear to have died in infancy. Where are they hiding?.......... I have also checked WESTER, Geo etc. ............. Hi, have you looked on Free cen & Ancestry for them. I searched Freecen time & time again for my 3xgt grandparents. Found all their children etc on 1841 census. Just assumed they had died before 1841. Stupidly I never got anyone to check Ancestry, then when checking for another with the same name I found my 3xgt grandparents. They were there all the time on freecen just mistranscribed .Could have found them ages ago. Just saying check on both. Good luck.

Rachel, many thanks but neither is the right George, his Mother's name is Elizabeth and his siblings names are Anne (married name Duffin), Sarah and Mary Anne (married name unknown). Thank you for trying though. ann Glos

Ann, Its possible that George's mother remarried when her husband died, so she could have had more children (under a different surname). Its also possible that by 1841 Mary Anne has married, so you may find it hard to locate her. Regards Rachel

It could be that they were buried somewhere different from where they were baptised - maybe with relatives possibly in the parish next door. I would have thought it was impossible to tell whether they were alive in 1841.

Andrea, I am beginning to think that although it should be possible to trace them if they are alive, or at least George, Mary Anne could have married young I suppose. Rachel, no she didn't remarry. I would say that until 1838 they were still living at Highgate as Elizabeth, the mother was still working for the same employer until the employer died in 1838. So, if the children had died before 1838 they would have been buried in that area. Oh well i will keep looking. Thanks anyway. Ann glos
