May be something like ulcers and he had been treated for them by the doctor for that period of time. |

Karen on a death certificate when a length of time is mentioned it usually means the patient has been treated by a doctor for at least that amount of time. I have a great grandfather who died of a heart condition & on his death certificate it says 4 years, so he was being treated for at least 4 years for a heart complaint. Maybe they didn't treat your rellie for the right complaint & he ended up dying from internal bleeding? Georgina. |

Gosh, that sounds really horrible! Is it actually possible to bleed to death over 10 months? And if so, how would they know it had been going on for that long? |

Karen it sounds like he slowly bled to death & had the condition for at least 10 months. Georgina. |

Good morning everyone, I've just received a death cert for my 3xgreat-grandfather. The cause of death is given as 'Internal haemorrhage' & then underneath is written '10 months'. Does anyone have any idea why? |
