Member Since: July 2003 Posts: 5 630 Send Message	......My Grt Grandfather , his siblings & my Grt Grt Grandfather were Scenic Artists for London's Theatre Land. I've found an awful lot of work related to my Grt Grt Grandfather online in London. However its my Grt Grandfathers work I am now wanting..........I presume he would have had to of been an apprentice at some point......where do I start to search?? Any tips/advice pls?

	Have you tried searching on the National Archives website - do a search of his name and see what results you get? If you know where he worked you could always google for the name of the place and the word 'records' too - in case any archives are held at a local records office etc.

	Not sure if this will help but if he did an aprenticeship would he be City and Guilds registered ? This mght have the information about where he did his training etc.
