You need to start with elec roll from 1944 in Hasting - see if you can trace the mother, and maybe a subsequent marriage, where child may have taken step fathers name.

I am trying to find out how I would find a Clive Bacon born March 1944 in Hastings, also his mother who was Bacon at the time of his birth, but believed to have reverted back to her maiden name of James. I have his birth obviously, but, need to find out where they went from there an without census being available after 1901, I am at a loss. Thanksyou for any help Jackie
