Hi everyone, I have FTM 2005 and have just bought a new PC with the fantastic (not) Windows Vista system. My FTM periodicaly reporting that the file is corrupted and reverts to the backup copy. Has anyone else found 'issues' with FTM and Vista or do I really have a corrupted file? If there are compatablility issues is FTM 2006 better? Thanks all Martyn

Hi Martyn, I must admit that although I have a copy of Vista for my Vista-ready PC which I bought last December, I haven't had the courage to install it yet! There appears to be an update for FTM which you can download from their site, which might help, you never know. ;-) http://www.familytreemaker(.)com/vistaupdate/ Chris

Thanks to everyone who took the time to reply to my question. I agree with Yummy Mummy of 2 anout XP and the fact that it works. However, I had to replace my lap top as te old one commited suicide by jumping out of my arms and hurling itself down a flight of stairs. One can not find machines with XP on them now :-( I know I searched for ages. I have down loaded and installed the 'patch' from FTM's web site and the prog now seems to be running fine and dandy. Good luck to all of you in your researches Lord Martyn
