Hello, I am researching my family tree and I have come to a bit of a dead end with one person, is anyone able to help? The person I am lost with is called Victor Thurgood. He appears on the 1901 Census (aged 13) as son of David Thurgood (aged 52) From studying the census, I think Victor's mother may have died or seperated from David at this point. Anyway, I can't seem to find any other records at all of Victors existance. I know it's possible that births weren't registered but I'm struggling to find him on a previous census when he should be aged 3. I know also we can't take census records as exact as these to can be wrong. Any ideas? Many Thanks, sorry if I've confused you all!!

I don't think so. The only reason being David Thurgood has 3 stepsons living with him, William Olding, George Olding and Albert Olding. I think Mary Ann's was married before to a man with the surname Olding, and both David and Mary-Ann remarried.

They were in London at the time. The census is in the Parish on Camberwell.

Perhaps he was registered by another name. If my Albert theory is right, could this be David, first wife and kids in the 1891 census. 1891 shows son Albert age 3. If he was Albert Edward V, then could the V be Victor? Both shown as born Bermondsey in 1891/1901 censuses. Jim Can't find Albert on 1901 census. Or in 1891-1901 deaths.
