Anyone know if I have to download something to view a GIF image. Betty

Are you able to open other GIF images? If so, what do they open in.? Try this Find another gif image on your computer that does open and open it. This will take you to the programme where you view gifs from. From there, if available click the open tab then go to the image that will not open automatically. Hope this makes sense, I know what I mean

Hi Carol, I have never had a GIF image sent to me before, had JPG and TIFF but not GIF so it wont open. I just wondered if I need to download a viewer or something. Betty

GIF or Graphics Interchange Format is a graphics format usually used for pictures. This has generally been superseded by jpeg. Your windows explorer should be able to open GIF pictures, if not, then there could be a problem with the file, or perhaps your explorer needs updating. Ken
