Noticed on the 1901 census that sons George and Wallace must be from Jane's previous marriage to Kay. 1891 census 34 (Something?) Street, Holy Trinty, Kingston upon Hull, Yorkshire Alfred Hart, head, 63, tailor Jane, wife, 59 William, son, 28, tailor Margaret, dau, 14, general domestic servant Henry, son, 14, port errand boy George Kay, son-in-law, 28, milkman Jane Kay, daughter-in-law, 23 William Borman, brother-in-law, 64, tailor George A. Kay, 3 months Plus a boarder. All born Hull. Evidently Jane should be daughter not daughter-in-law. No relationship given for baby George A.

Birth of George Arthur Kay, March quarter 1891, Hull. Also Wallace Mac Jain Kay, Dec. quarter 1893, York. ( Don't know about that one) Don't see a death of first husband George Kay. Update, just noticed a George William E. Twell, born 1889 and Wallace Twell, born 1891, both Sculcoates. Who did they belong to if John & Jane didn't marry till 1895?

Oops, I've got something wrong! On the 1901 census, Jane Kay, age 33, born Hull is a widow with her 10 year old son George A. I'd better quit!
