Can anyone tell me how to find out where someone is buried? My 3xggrandparents both died in Wansford nr. Driffield Yorks in 1890 and 1895. They don't appear to be in the village churchyard, at least I couldn't find a headstone. Thankyou. Carole xx

So many of mine didn't have headstones, ...too poor for non essentials. There should be a churchyard plan of burial plots, which would help you locate a grave. Maybe the churchwardens or church secretary would know where it's kept. It is possible that the churchyard was full, in which case your folk would probably be in a local cemetery. The council, ..Parks and Cemeteries dept. ? .... would be the people to advise you then. Gwyn
