You can get the 1881 census index for free on Ancestry or Familysearch sites, the others you have to pay for. They tell you the names of everyone living in a household, their relationships to each other, ages, marital status, occupation and birth place. The 1841 is slightly different, the ages are rounded up/down to the nearest 5 years, there is no relationships and place of birth is just 'Born in the county?' yes or no, Sam x |
