A couple of weeks ago I managed to get a copy of my gt granfather's will. He had two burial plots at the City of London Cemetery. I just had the plot numbers and who they were left to. I phoned the cemetery yesterday for information. They called me back today, gave me the grave numbers and who was buried in each plot, the date of burial and how old they were. They were so helpful and they have not charged me a penny. I now know where 8 of my paternal relatives are buried and I'm sitting here with a big grin on my face. Thank you City of London Cemetery .... I love you !!!!!!!!! LOL Viv

It's great when you get public employees actually helping the public. Our local cemetery office is exactly the same - nothing is too much trouble for the lady who works there and she has given me lots of information about relatives buried at the cemetery. Kath. x

Kathleen, Chingford Mount Cemetery are brilliant as well. They hold the records for Chingford Mount and Queens Cemetery in Walthamstow. They don't charge either. They searched for my grandfather and sent me all the details, maps and entries in the burial registers the next day. I'd phoned them at 2pm on the Monday ... 9am the next morning it all arrived in the post. Anne, Hope you get paid soon!!!!! Talk to you later mate. Viv
