Hi all, I've just found a relative on the 1891 census and the relation to head of family has been entered as MAB. What does this stand for? Thanks! Kate

Theophilis Austen. If you can make out either of the top 2 details on the page, that would be very helpful as well. Thanks Kate

There's only one person of that name on the 1891 census and he is head of the household. The 4 people in the house are head, wife, daur and relative. Is that the right one in Benenden, Kent? Anne

Kate Was this on Ancestry? Like Anne, on Ancestry, I can only see the Benenden, Kent entry and there is no MAB noted on the image. Chris

Thank you all for your help. This was my first post so sorry for not giving all the info. When I searched the name only one Theophilis Austen came up, so I didn't think it would be too hard to find. Lesson learned though!! Thanks again for your help. Kate
