When you puchase credits how do they work? What do you get for them? Thanks

Hi Theresa, If you are talking about credits on Genes Reunited I wouldn't bother as they work out more expensive than any other lookup website. I suggest you just ask for a lookup of what you want, census, BMD or whatever it is. What are you looking for?? Betty

Most people who have access to census won't mind helping you. Once people have a subscription, eg. to Ancestry, ..it doesn't matter how many details they lookup, there is no extra cost, just a little time and effort. Gwyn

Don't, under any circumstances, purchase GR credits. ALL England/Wales bmd's are FREE on Ancestry. And if you want census info.........1881 is FREE on both Ancestry and www.familysearch.org For any other censuses, there are loads of GR members only too willing to do lookups. Reg

Don't bother with GR Credits as they're not value for money. You have first to pay to see the details of the named person you're looking for and then pay again to see the rest of the household, which you almost always need to see in order to check that you've found the right family.

I have access to findmypast, so if you need a look up just give me a shout. access to bmd up to 2004. Also census 1841, 1861, 1871, 1881, 1891. With kind regards Donna
