i know this may sound daft.... but I'll ask anyway! I was using a electoral / BDM search site and looked up the year that my Granny died. She moved to a residential home in about 2001, and died in 2003. My Gran had lived at this address for 30 years plus. But by mistake, I put the info into the electoral roll section, and found that she is still registered under the 2003 - 2007 electoral roll and it indicates that she is on the 2007 electoral register. There is another person (presumably the next tenant) listed there as well. The site has always been 100% accurate from whenever I have used it previously. Any theories on why she is shown as still living there?? (I have now checked out a few more names of people who have died, and they aren't listed any more.) ta dipsy |

Is this sloppy practice by the home? The reminders for the elctoral roll are in this area are pre printed and you only have to tell the council if anything has changed, in other words if you dont tell them that someone doesn't live there any more they will by default appear in the next roll |

My daughter joined the armed forces in 1986. She therefore had a postal vote which was registered at my address. I have long since moved on and so has she. But she is still registered to vote at that original address because none of us have bothered to inform the authorities that she no longer lives there. Any information, any list anywhere, depends for accuracy on 100% uptodate information. If people do not inform the listmakers of changes to the facts, then the lists don't get altered! OC |

She isn't listed under the residential home - but the flat that she lived in for 30years plus. Guess I am wondering if somebody might be using the information fraudently (ooh theres a word I don't know how to spell!!!!) Although, as she would have been 100 2 weeks ago, I guess it would take a lot of make up to pretend to be her!! :-) |
