Probably the best to start with is the GENUKI site. Depending on the county of course. For instance, Durham has links to transcriptions of some marriages, provided by the late George Bell; Scarborough has links to transcriptions of trade directories for the area. www.genuki(.)org(.)uk good luck! |

I was just wondering if there is a site which gives exact locations of churches and under which area name they came under in the 1800's. It would make the whole trawling through batch numbers so much easier if I knew which areas were where, and which churches would be covered in a registration district so I can find baptism records. |
