No problem, Paul, I know what it's like! I've checked the Mar Q deaths for 1931 - it's not too bad down that bottom corner on findmypast - and there is no-one called Millings on that page. It goes from Millinger, Ellen E, to Millington, Albert. Chris

Hi Paul, There is nothing for the first name you're after on the Deaths for Mar quarter of 1932. The only entry for Millings, is Esther aged 81 who died in Leeds North. Can you just check, is it definitely Jan-Feb-Mar 1932 which you can't read as it seems to be a very clear image on Ancestry, and findmypast too. Could be a glitch with different computers though. :-) Chris

Hi Paul, The freeBMD website supplies Ancestry with the BMD transcriptions, so the transcribed indexes on Ancestry can also be found on freeBMD. This doesn't always work the other way round, as there is a time lag between freeBMD issuing its latest batch of transcriptions and Ancestry updating theirs. The images on the freeBMD website are generally not as good as the ones on Ancestry, hence the sprinkling of mis-transcriptions which appear, but you might be lucky. If you post the details, I'm happy to look on findmypast for you as I have a subscription. It is not infallible, but sometimes it can be better than Ancestry. :-) Chris

Free access to Birth Marriage & Death records http://freebmd.org.uk/ Not sure whether they are as good as Ancestry though as I use Ancestry usually, but worth a try?

Have you tried freebmd? If you post the details on here people will help you find the record ...

You could try findmypast(.)com - but you will have to puchase units to view it.
