i am researching my wifes family and have found a few ancestors and a live relative as well. but i can't find any trace of a JOHN ROBERT MILLINGS born in 1899 - some kind people on here did census searches for me and he appears in the last one as he was born in 1899. as well as the rest of the family i have pieced together some of the family tree with the help of gr members. well since then i have trawled through marriage/death entries on ancestry and can find nothing. i have found on the national archive site a JOHN R MILLINGS who was in the 1914/1920 war and have downloaded his medal card. this does not prove that this is my wifes relative. My wifes mother grew up knowing absolutely nothing about her family and is only now finding out certain things. question is where do i go from here - have also posted a request for an elecrol search in case their are still some ancestors living in boston lincolnshire where the family origninated from. thanks for everyones help |
