I've just been trying to submit details of a death certificate - my computer automatically signed me in. I put all the details in and pressed 'submit' and I was asked for my user name and password again. I couldn't remember, so they sent a new password. I tried again - it still won't let me in with the new one, and I keep getting warnings about it not being a secure site, so I gave up! Has anyone else had problems? |

I've added certs. several times, and each time I've needed to login twice - don't know why. The second login did bring up the 'members area', so I've been able to submit ok, then. So don't give up! Bx |

Don't give up! It is going to be such a good resource for us all! I have added all my certs and keep adding as I get new ones. The one mistake I keep making when I log in is forgetting that the login name is case sensitive. Have you checked that you are using Capitols where you did orriginally. If I were you I would email Maria personally, she is very nice and helpfull. She can tell you exactly what you are doing wrong! dizzy |

Following the comments about difficulty logging in, I sent a message to the site, using their 'contact us' link, and got a very full and helpful reply, most of which is below:- ''To answer your questions.... I can only help those with login problems if they tell me! And please don't quote me on this but it generally isnt a computer error, they are entering their details incorrectly. A lot forget about capital letters, use different names and passwords for different sites and try to use the wrong one. I also have to login more than once. This isnt anything that I can do anything about without spending £0000's. All of the relatively cheap membership systems (£0-£800) that I have looked at have this problem. I am now on the second system as the first was causing more problems. There are two parts to the site - the membership program part and the actual site. Everyone will have to login to each section seperately and probably also the first time they go on each page, Some people depending on individual computer settings may have to login every time they change page. (if they have set their PC to delete cookies for example) ...the site will remain free for as long as I can afford to finance it. I will probably introduce voluntary payments and see how that goes. Best Wishes Maria'' She sounds very approachable and is trying to offer a useful service, so if anyone's having problems, why not give her some feedback about glitches and help her make the site easier to use? Thanks for your replies - I shall have to try again later. I can't have entered my password incorrectly, because I was pasting it from the e-mail they sent me. I must make a list of certificates to enter this time! |
