Q'd for ages for different events and also paid the EARTH for a bottle of water! £1.80!!!!! small (thank God we opted out of the pork bap!!!) I dread to think!!! lol We met Ron and Carol of geoprinters and they were rushed off thier feet bless em....We thank you Ron n Carol for the lovely charts we bought from you and were thrilled with the price you charged. (cheap cheap) We came away feeling like a right pair of anoraks...but happy lol A day to recomend. ...Oh and you should see that Nick Barrett fella! Although this particular show isn't touring there are other shows and fairs. Many of the same exhibitors will be at a lot of them. These local events are usually reasonably priced to get into too. I went yesterday. Most impressive. Ian Hislop and David Startkey were the ones I saw/heard. Take a bottle of water with you. Get there before the 10am opening time............ If you can stay til the closing time 6pm Sunday, 4pm Monday.......do it ! Cos the hall empties in the last hour - it's then much easier to look. If you want a break, go up to the Gallary level, loads of space, refreshments, etc etc History Theatre needs no tickets, just get there about 25 mins before and wait in the queue. The WDYTYA stage chats, you do need a ticket. Get them as soon as you go into the Hall. Makes it all easy and saves time. Overall, very good indeed. The FH Societies are all clustered in one quarter of the hall, best to wait until the end to see these.....cos they are absolutely jam-packed ! |
