I havn`t had time to go through all the census years for you but I have sometimes found on some census years an in law living with the wifes family which has given me the wifes maiden name. Just try checking through each census.

IGI has a submitted entry for a marriage in 1838 to Alice Lee. Unfortunately with submitted entries they can be wrong Maureen
